Moto X 2017: how do you imagine it?

Please note: these images are just a lazy Photoshop edit, a mere idea, but not really a concept phone.

It's been 19 months since the last Moto X phone was released (not counting the Droid Turbo 2, which was renamed as Moto X Force internationally and released in late 2015). The critically-acclaimed flagship killer stole our hearts in 2013 and improved with every generation.

The X brought two ground-breaking concepts to the table: 1) the Moto Maker platform changed the way we think of mobile customization, 2) the Moto Pure experience added useful features like Active Display and the original "Ok, Google Now" commands, plus the quick-gestures to launch the camera. All of these features changed the way we interact with our smartphones.

But it's 2017 and we don't know if Lenovo and Motorola will launch a new version of it. Many fans want it, while others are happy with their Moto Z. But it'd still be cool to see a successor to the X series.

So, how do you think a 2017 Moto X would look like? I think the most loved generation was the 2014 one, which looked incredibly premium and even better with a wood back. Its huge rear batwing logo and the overall feeling when you had the phone in your hand was just a great, comfortable experience.

What about the specs? The X was never about having the latest specs, but it's 2017 and people want more and more power. Would you include the latest Snapdragon 835 processor? How big should the screen be? What about the camera?

Here's how I imagine it, but please note it's not a concept. It's just a mere idea and a lazy Photoshop edit. I think the phone's design should remain similar to the 2014 Moto X, and all the iconic elements like the front-facing speakers and the big rear batwing should remain too.

I thought of some specs too, which you can see down below. But I would love to hear from you all, tell us on Facebook, G+ or Twitter how YOU imagine a Moto X 2017.
